Alliance Medical takes on MRI services at Princess Royal Hospital
Patients in West Sussex will benefit from leading diagnostic services as Alliance Medical began its management of the Princess Royal Hospital MRI Unit in Haywards Heath this month.
The unit transferred to Alliance Medical on 1st April following a successful tender process by Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals Trust.
The unit currently has two MRI scanners, a static unit in the main department and a mobile unit, as well as a Dexa service, used to measure bone density and diagnose bone-related conditions. Alliance Medical plan to further enhance capacity at the unit with the installation of a new modular unit later this summer.
Russell Trenter, Regional Managing Director at Alliance Medical, said: “I am pleased to welcome the team at the Princess Royal Hospital MRI Unit in Haywards Heath to Alliance Medical. I would particularly like to congratulate all those at the unit for making a seamless transition while continuing to deliver a seamless service to patients.”
“The unit is a great strategic fit for Alliance Medical as we build our presence in Sussex and the South Coast.”
